Just 2 hours away from Colorado Springs & lots to do- my favorite hot springs, hands down is Mt.Princeton right outside of Buena Vista! 🏔️💆🏻‍♀️

We booked an Airbnb for 2 nights that was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom for a little over $500, just a 10 minute drive from the hot springs & 2-3 minutes from town.

The hot springs have a river spot where you can relax in the hot water that is naturally fed. They also have 2 other pools nearby the river and one a small walk up the hill.

Less than 35 minutes away you can walk around Salida for shopping, waffles & some really great tours (our favorite is the ghost tour)! Tell me if you’ve been to Buena Vista or Salida!

We decided to spend $ on redoing our curb, front walkway and extending our driveway…Why?

Our curb appeal was less than stellar with overgrown and uncared for landscaping (we aren’t landscaping people & Colorado it’s so hard to grow grass) and with our home being a 1 car garage we made a strategic decision to extend the driveway to allow for more parking. These are things people pay attention to when buying/selecting a home to buy!

In addition our drainage was done poorly, when it would rain, puddles would gather by the foundation of our home. So when the concrete was poured they made sure the slope of the concrete allowed for proper drainage.

I had one of those inspections last week where it was such a wonderful reminder of why they NEED to be done. When we initially toured the home we didn’t catch major water damaged in the bottom bathroom. But guess who did??? The inspector! 🔍 👀

I can’t urge enough getting an inspection for things like this. Something that you may not see with the naked eye but more thoroughly with a moisture meter or with infrared & would’ve not been brought to my clients attention if an inspection hadn’t been done!

You’re talking $500-$600 for an inspection vs. potentials of thousands of dollars in repairs or replacements. Make an educated decision and discuss with your realtor why an inspection is recommended!
